the master & game-server querying is handled by the scripts developed by Greenleon. That output is parsed by our systems to generate the lists, info & stats you see on the server page :-)

the methods themselves are perfectly suitable - the issue is in querying every server the master server tells you about to get information etc and the associated timeouts/dead-ends - so there is a certain level of caching needed in the initial scraping of IPs so that the actual periodic updates are as fast as possible and not slowed down. But that side of things are handled by Greenleon and his querying system :-)

Excuse me the new function to show connected players and rules is very nice but buggy. You can not see the rules if someone is connected and always you click 'show/hide' it refers to the main site.

the data output for empty servers is not quite fixed/completed :-) should be all done by tomorrow :-)
